WELCOME TO WICKWOOD! We’re a small inn located in the beautiful village of Saugatuck, Michigan, often called the Cape Cod of the Midwest. Saugatuck became a weekend resort town in the early part of the century, and quickly became renown as an artists’ colony. Over the years, it has become a year round retreat for artists, jazz musicians from Chicago and big city folks from around the country who want to unwind. We’re located two minutes from Douglas and 2 1/2 hours up the shore of Lake Michigan from Chicago. “We” are Bill and Julee Rosso Miller and we own Wickwood (ever since Julee sold The Silver Palate in New York, but that’s a different story).

When you enter Wickwood, we like to think you’ll be transported to another place in time from the outside world. We’ve created a retreat of coziness, privacy and calm that we want to meet your every dream. It’s time to pause, spend time together and leave refreshed and recharged.

Wickwood is filled with just a few of our favorite things…French and English antiques, oriental rugs, over-stuffed chairs, vases of flowers, candlelight, a library of books, eclectic music, original drawings, oils and sculptures. There’s generally a crackling fire in the living room fireplace and an aroma floats through the air from the kitchen.
